The incident took place around 4:50 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 3 in Nassau County, at the intersection of Bayview Avenue and Peninsula Boulevard in Cedarhurst.
No students were on board and the driver was not injured, said Nassau County Police.
The bus was from the Lawrence School District.
The home was deemed safe with no major structural damage, officials said.
The crash did cause a short traffic backup during rush hour.
